With this tough loss, a lot of speculation has started about Ancelotti’s future at Santiago Bernabeu. It looked like Ancelotti would be sacked at any moment, the reports suggest otherwise. Carlo Ancelotti has decided to stay put until the end of the season. 

One of the media outlets mentioned that the Italian’s idea is to stay with Los Blancos until the end of the season at least and both the manager and the club management are aligned with the same. The report also mentioned that Ancelotti continues to feel strong and capable of fighting everything again. The report read:

When Ancelotti was asked about his future just after the second leg against Arsenal, Ancelotti mentioned that he would thank the club whenever they decide to ask him to leave or the contract expires. He mentioned that the day he leaves the club, he will be nothing but grateful for the club. He had said: 

I don't know, maybe the club decides to change, or maybe it will be next year, when my contract ends. There's no problem. The day I leave this club, I will only be grateful to it. It could be tomorrow or in a year. The only thing I will do is thank it
