Chelsea have received a massive boost with Jadon Sancho returning to training ahead of their clash against Leicester City. For the unversed, Sancho is with Chelsea on a loan from Manchester United. He had a fallout with the former Red Devils manager Erik Ten Hag last season. He started with Chelsea on a high playing a massive role in goals in each of his first three matches for the Blues.

But then his form tapered off later and moreover, hasn’t taken the field since October 20 due to multiple reasons. He was first ruled out due to illness and then was ineligible to feature against his parent club Manchester United. However, according to The Standard, Sancho has now joined Chelsea camp and trained with the team as they prepare for the Premier League face-off against Leicester City.

The tournament resumes this weekend after an international break of two weeks as Chelsea awaits the players to rejoin the camp who departed to play for their respective countries. Chelsea are currently at the third position in the Premier League points table with 19 points after 11 matches having won five, drawn four and lost a couple of them so far. Liverpool with 28 points and Manchester City with 23 points are the only two teams ahead of them.

Chelsea are tied with Arsenal, Nottingham Forest and Brighton at 19 points at the moment and would soon want to break out from this lot.

Sancho’s return bodes well for Chelsea

Jadon Sancho has played well in limited outings for Chelsea this season. In five matches, he has assisted in three of them so far and will be keen on making a memorable comeback. Now that he is fit, the winger will certainly boost the line-up for Chelsea as they look to trump Manchester City in the points table in the upcoming matches.

As far as Sancho’s career is concerned, he played 75 matches for Manchester United until last season after joining them in the 2021-22 season. He played for Dortmund prior to that from 2018 and made 161 appearances for the club during his stint.
