Chelsea are reportedly set to go after PSG striker Randal Kolo Muani, who has also been linked with Manchester United. The French footballer is the latest name added to the wishlist of the Blues. For the unversed, Muani endured the dismal first half of the season with the Ligue 1 giants scoring only two goals in 14 appearances across competitions.

According to a report from journalist Santi Aouna, the Blues want to take advantage of the 26-year-old’s struggles in Paris. They are keen on signing the Frenchman in the January transfer window as Muani has failed to impress manager Luis Enrique.

Interestingly, PSG had paid a whopping 90 million Euros to his former club Eintracht Frankfurt to secure his services in the summer of 2023. A year later, Kylian Mbappe left the club and it was expected that Muani would emerge as the talismanic striker for PSG. However, he failed to live up to his price tag and the player has also lost the manager’s trust.

Kolo Muani has started in just two matches so far in the ongoing season featuring in only 14 matches playing 453 minutes. Having said that, Chelsea seem to be showing immense faith in him despite being well aware of his situation in Paris. The striker is set to be available on loan with an option to buy, the Blues might end up signing him for a significantly lower fee than PSG paid.

However, it might not be that easy for Chelsea with Manchester United and Arsenal also looking to bolster their attack.

Harvey Vale set for permanent exit from Chelsea

Even as Chelsea are keen on signing Kolo Muani, they are likely to bid adieu to their youngster Harvey Vale, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. The midfielder is attracting interest from the Championship and outside England after his impressive performance for the Chelsea U21 side.

He made his debut for the Blues in 2021 and also won the club’s Academy Player of the Year award in 2022. Vale had also turned down a move to Saudi Pro League team Al-Ettifaq but with six months left in his Chelsea contract, he seems to be prepared to make a move elsewhere.
