Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to sign a new deal with Al-Nassr, according to a report from MARCA. His contract is set to expire at the end of this season but after months of uncertainty, the two parties have come to an agreement now and it now appears that the veteran will continue to feature for the Riyadh-based club.

For the unversed, Ronaldo arrived at Al-Nassr in December 2022 after parting ways with Manchester United in November. Since then, the five-time Ballond’Or winner has been a vital cog of the team. Ronaldo has so far played 77 matches across competitions for the Knights of Najd and scored a staggering 72 goals and provided 18 assists.

However, the 39-year-old has not been able to lift the trophy in the Saudi Pro League title so far. He has won the Arab Club Champions Cup with Al-Nassr and will aim to perform to his reputation not only in the remaining season but also in the next season.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival in the Saudi Pro League turned many heads in December 2022 and he took the football in Saudi to a completely different level with several big names following him. For the same reason, Al-Nassr are keen on showing him appreciation.

Al-Nassr have offered Ronaldo a 5% stake in the club

Coming back to the new contract, the Saudi club has offered him a new deal worth 183 million Euros per year which once again asserts that Ronaldo will remain one of the biggest earners in the football arena. Interestingly, Al-Nassr have also decided to hand him a 5% stake in the club thanking him for his loyalty and commitment.

Moreover, Al-Nassr are also set to reinforce their squad taking into account Ronaldo’s request to include Casemiro having shared the pitch with him in Manchester United and Real Madrid. As far as the ongoing season is concerned, Al-Nassr are in third place after 14 matches with 28 points having won eight, drawn four, and lost two games. Al-Hilal are on top of the table with nine points more than the Riyadh-based club.
