What did Pep Guardiola say about the players who missed out on the game against Brighton and Hove Albion?
Pep Guardiola was disheartened with the draw but also about players not getting the time to feature on the field. He mentioned that he would look at the players who might feature in the other games based on the style of play. He also felt sorry about the other players not getting the chance to be part of the playing XI.
Next game we will see who will play, the way we are going to play and with who we are going to play. I feel so sorry for all the players that don’t play. What can I say
Pep Guardiola also highlighted the fact that if there are games every three days, he could rotate the side but otherwise, it is very difficult for him to bench the best. He said:
When we have a game every three days it’s easy to rotate but today I selected knowing the quality they have, the pace from Omar, Erling is always a threat, Jeremy was outstanding with how many times he got to the byline, Savio missed two clear chances but was really, really good
