Hansi Flick’s Wants Barcelona To Follow A More Direct Approach While Also Including The Traditional Tiki-Taka

After a disagreement with President Joan Laporta led to the dismissal of club legend and manager Xavi, new Barcelona manager Hansi Flick took over in June. As Barcelona looks to start pre-season in the best possible position to turn around their trophyless season, Hansi Flick has taken charge of training operations. Since taking over, Hansi Flick, the former coach of Bayern Munich and Germany, has begun to execute his ideas. The Tiki Taka style is the main adjustment he wants to make. Although he expressed his admiration for the team's customary tiki-taka passing style, recently hired Barcelona coach Hansi Flick stressed his desire to implement a more direct strategy centered on scoring goals.

With the arrival of the German coach, the team is now more focused on attacking fluidity, quick development, and impressive energy expenditure when out of possession. Barcelona supporters should be excited about this move, as under Xavi's leadership the team has grown a little boring and uninspired. Moreover, under Flick's leadership, Bayern won both the Bundesliga and the Champions League in 2019–20. His team was well-known for their aggressive style both in and out of possession.

Barcelona's problems in recent years have been attributed, among other things, to the players' allegedly insufficient training intensity. But the new German boss has issued a warning, saying that players will struggle in games if they don't give it their all in training.

"You won't be able to give 100% in the game if you only train at 80%." According to Hansi Flick, training is where you grow and have to give it your all.

Due to the absence of key stars on international duty, Barcelona has started pre-season training with a number of young players joining the first squad. Flick conveyed his happiness with the team's development and especially the work at La Masia by its younger players. In his first in-depth interview with the club's media, Flick explained his goals and talked about his early pre-season training days. The youthful talent at La Masia, many of whom have been practicing with the senior group, has really impressed him.

Barcelona's pre-season trip to the United States will begin on July 30 when they play Manchester City. After that, they have a preseason Clasico against Real Madrid. On August 17, Barcelona will play their first La Liga encounter against Valencia.
