Former Chelsea player Joe Cole is impressed with the 18-year-old Blues’ star Marc Guiu, who scored the opening goal in their win over Astana in the Europa Conference League. This turned out to be the fifth win in as many outings in the competition for Chelsea. They have more or less booked their spot in the Round of 16 with the final game scheduled to take place on December 20 at home against Shamrock Rovers at 1:30 AM IST
Coming back to Marc Guiu, the youngster has impressed Joe Cole with his performance in the game against Astana. In fact, Cole has gone as far as comparing him with a young Luis Suarez who is currently playing for Inter Miami.
“He must have watched Luis Suarez as a young man at Barcelona. He has great movement. He was a thorn in the side throughout the game for Astana. I love him. He gives you energy and aggression. This kid is 18 - how big and strong he will be when he gets older? He's a real gem,” Cole told TNT Sports.
When is Chelsea’s next clash in the Premier League?
