Fenerbahce head coach Jose Mourinho has shut down all the talks by confirming that he doesn’t want to sign football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in the upcoming transfer window. He stated that his team already has three forwards who are enough at the moment and doesn’t need an additional striker right now.

Turkish media had linked Ronaldo with a shock transfer to reunite with Mourinho at Fenebahce. However, the latter has clarified that his team doesn’t need the Al-Nassr striker.

“Cristiano Ronaldo will not come. The first reason is that I have three good forwards and I don't want another one. Cristiano will always be Cristiano, but I don't want him because I'm happy with my forwards. He has the money he earns in Saudi Arabia and a goal of 1,000 goals. What could motivate him to come to Turkey, other than the beauty of Istanbul?” Mourinho said (via O Jogo).

Mourinho’s Fenerhace are currently at second place in the Super Lig points table. They have 32 points after 13 games, only three points behind toppers Galatasaray. They have scored 36 goals so far this season which proves that their three forwards - Edin Dzeko, Cenk Tosun and Youssef  En-Nesyri - have been making an impact.

Ronaldo in great form but Al-Nassr not in Saudi Pro League

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo has been in great form for Al-Nassr this season in the Saudi Pro League. He has netted 14 goals and assisted in two in 16 appearances for the club. However, his form has not translated into results for his club.

Al-Nassr lost to table toppers Al-Ittihad last night 2-1 with Ronaldo’s levelling goal in the 57th minute going in vain. They have slipped to fourth place with this loss in the table and have 25 points to their name after 13 matches with seven wins, four draws, and two losses so far.

Al-Nassr will have to up the ante in the rest of the season to have any chance of lifting the trophy as they are 11 points behind the leaders Al-Ittihad now. They will be hoping that their superstar Ronaldo continues in the same vein netting a lot more match-winning goals.
