Kylian Mbappe names five great players he’s played with in his career

French superstar Kylian Mbappe has named the great players he has played with so far in his already illustrious career. However, he hasn’t included a single player from the current Real Madrid team for whom he is turning up on the field. Mbappe is sharing the dressing room currently with the likes of Luka Modric, Jude Bellingham, and Vinicius Jr at Real Madrid. But the 26-year-old regrets not having shared the pitch in the same jersey with Madrid’s all-time leading goal scorer and five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.

While speaking to beIN Sports, Mbappe reminisced the times of playing with great players like Lionel Messi, Neymar among many others. 

“I've played with great players: Lionel Messi, Neymar, [Antoine] Griezmann, [Paul] Pogba, [Karim] Benzema,” he said.

Mbappe played alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar between 2021 and 2023 at Paris Saint Germain (PSG). The trio formed the iconic attack when they played together at the club. He also recalled the time they spent together in the dressing room. As for the other three, Mbappe is a teammate at France with Pogba, Benzema, and Griezmann. Having said that, Mbappe feels he would’ve had a great time playing with Ronaldo. 

“It would have been fun to play with Cristiano Ronaldo - it's going to be very difficult now, but I was lucky enough to play against him, a legend of the sport,” he added.

How has Kylian Mbappe performed for Real Madrid so far?

Kylian Mbappe ended his long association with PSG at the end of the 2023-24 season when his contract expired and joined Real Madrid. However, he didn’t start as expected with the new club and was at the receiving end of a lot of criticism. However, Mbappe soon gained his form and started scoring goals as expected.

So far, he has netted 12 goals for Madrid in 23 appearances in different competitions. Mbappe was also part of Real Madrid’s 3-0 win in the Intercontinental Cup final over Mexico side Pachuca, recently. He was the one to open the account for them in the 37th minute as his side lifted the trophy. Mbappe would be hoping to perform in the same vein for the club and score a lot more goals.
