France superstar Kylian Mbappe has finally opened up on issues he had with his former club Paris Saint Germain (PSG). For the unversed, the 25-year-old ended his long-standing association with PSG in the summer of 2024 and joined La Liga giants Real Madrid for the 2024-25 season as a free agent.

He became the star player at the PSG having joined the club at the age of just 18 during the 2017-18 season. In a staggering 293 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants across competitions, Mbappe netted 249 goals while providing assists in 58. The French player led the club to a stunning six Ligue 1 titles, four Coupe de France titles, and three Trophee des Champions titles among many other trophies.

Mbappe opened up on his ‘not so happy’ ending with PSG in an interview with French channel Clique TV. The youngster stated he had problems with certain people at the French outfit.

“The club meant a lot to me. It's a club where everything is intense, whether it's good or bad. I spent 7 extraordinary years. At Paris, I had problems with certain people, because I was fighting for my rights. I should have shown more love to PSG fans, I never had a problem with them,” he said.

Even after stepping away from the club, Kylian Mbappe is still reportedly involved in a legal battle with PSG over unpaid wages. According to a report, the French superstar is seeking a staggering 55 million Euros in wages and bonuses from the Ligue 1 club.

Kylian Mbappe wants to win UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid

However, Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid has not been as smooth. The man has struggled for form this season netting only nine goals in 15 appearances at LaLiga. Moreover, in five Champions League matches, he has only scored once for the club.

Real Madrid and PSG are among two teams to battle for the title but Mbappe is clear that he wants to win the trophy with his current club now. He has wished his former club all the luck but is keen on helping Madrid lift the title.

Having said that, Madrid’s Champions League season hasn’t gone to plan. They are at the 24th position with two wins and three losses from five matches while PSG are placed 25th with one win, one draw and three losses in five outings.
