Manchester United’s style of football is leaving everyone puzzled. In one game, they will play their worst game, and then in the other, they will up their game like no one else and win it. They just did the same in the Europa League clash against Rangers on Thursday to win the match 2-1. The Red Devils took a 1-0 lead shortly after halftime, thanks to a cataclysmic error from Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland, who punched a corner delivery into his net. However, the United blew away that advantage with Cyriel Dessers coming up with a sublime turn and shot in the 88th minute to draw level.
At one stage, it seemed like the United once again botched a great chance to churn out three points against the toothless Rangers side, who were hampered by injuries right through the game. But Bruno Fernandes had other ideas as he put all those worries to bed by scoring in the second minute of stoppage time. The United captain powered home Lisandro Martinez’s cross to leave the United fans in a frenzy.
The 90 minutes of action kept the fans on the tenterhooks right through with both teams’ football players putting their goalkeepers to test. In the end, it was United, that eventually churned out three points from the clash, thanks to the winners from their skipper Bruno Fernandes.
