The controversy surrounding the title of the GOAT in football continues, with current and former players weighing in on the debate. Ronaldo hailed himself as the GOAT, but multiple players and former footballers have stated that Lionel Messi holds that title. Amidst this debate, the former Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona attacker has shared his opinion. He dismissed the debate, saying that there is only one king, and that is none other than Pelé.

Reflecting on his peak ability, which garnered attention and earned him a move to the French capital, Neymar mentioned his ambition was to become the king. However, his injury-ridden career prevented him from achieving that. Despite this, Neymar believes that there is only one king in football: Pelé.

It's not that I didn't want to be a king, it's that for me there is only one king and that is Pele. Many things happened, I had many injuries that cost me a lot in my career and well, God wanted it that way. I have no reason to be sad, on the contrary

Speaking to Grefg, Neymar also mentioned that he has achieved everything he dreamed of as a child. He expressed gratitude for accomplishing things he never even dared to imagine. Thanking God, he shared that he feels blessed to have his story, life, and the Almighty guiding him, helping to change the lives of both himself and his friends. He stated:

I am very happy with my story and my life. I achieved almost everything I dreamed of, and I even achieved things I never dreamed of. I am very grateful to God for changing my life, and that of my family and my friends. That is the most important thing for me
