The Premier League title race is getting increasingly exciting daily, with Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City racing for the English trophy. The point gap between the three teams is quite small, and anything can happen. Arsenal are at the top of the points table currently, with 71 points. Liverpool are in the 2nd spot with 71 points, while Pep Guardiola's Manchester City are in 3rd position with 70 points. Defending champions City have not been as exceptional so far as they were last season. However, their chances of winning the league title for a consecutive time this year cannot be ruled out whatsoever.
The League has also seen some terrific goals this season, coming from the feet of some of the biggest stars in the game. The Premier League season is less than 2 months away from concluding, so here's taking a look at the top 3 scorers in the league at the moment:
Top 3 Scorers In The Premier League
3. Mohamed Salah- 17 goals
The Egyptian King has been excellent for Liverpool this season, having found the back of the net 17 times in the Premier League. However, he was even better in the last season, having scored 19 goals for Liverpool, despite the Jurgen Klopp side not playing last season. Given Klopp's last season, Salah will want to score more goals and pay even better this time to make sure Klopp gets a farewell with the Premier League trophy.
2. Ollie Watkins- 18 goals
Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins comes at the second spot on this list with 18 goals to his name this season. Aston Villa sits in the 5th spot on the Premier League table with 60 points. Watkins has been quite consistent for Aston Villa in the last three seasons, finding his best under Unai Emery's mentorship. Watkins scored 15 goals for Villa last season, helping them qualify for the Europa League.
- Erling Haaland- 19 goals
Haaland has been outstanding for City since joining the club in July 2022. Haaland is currently the top-scorer in the Premier League, with 19 goals to his name. He was the top-scorer in the Premier League as well as in the Champions League last season, having guided City to a treble- FA Cup, Premier League and the Champions League. Although Haaland has not been scoring regularly lately, there is no denying how incredible he is in front of the goal.
