Kylian Mbappe brings good fortune as Real Madrid FC named the world's most valuable football brand

After his impressive introduction to the Real Madrid fans, all attention is now on Kylian Mbappe's first official match wearing the No.9 Real Madrid jersey. Mbappe signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid in July 2024 after his Paris Saint-Germain deal expired. The France captain's presentation at Real's iconic stadium was delayed due to his country's involvement in Euro 2024, where they were knocked out in the semi-final by Spain. However, Mbappe was given a rapturous reception at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. With still over a month to go until the domestic season begins, Mbappe could make his first competitive appearance in a Los Blancos jersey in the UEFA Super Cup, just four days before his La Liga debut on August 18 against Mallorca.

1. When Kylian Mbappe will make his Real Madrid debut?

While the excitement is still fresh from Kylian Mbappe's player presentation at the Bernabeu, Real Madrid FC fans are eagerly looking forward to their team's UEFA Super Cup match against Atalanta at the PGE Narodowy in Warsaw, Poland on August 15 at 12:30  am IST. The UEFA Super Cup clash will be an opportunity to witness Mbappe's competitive debut. Los Blancos advanced to the Super Cup after winning the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League at Wembley. Goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr secured a record-extending 15th European crown by defeating Borussia Dortmund. They will face Atalanta, who won the UEFA Europa League with a 3-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in Dublin.

Following that match, everyone will eagerly anticipate the start of the La Liga season and the game against Mallorca. Real Madrid FC will begin their title defence with an away match, which will kick off on Monday, August 19 at 2:30 am IST. The La Liga action kicks off on Thursday, August 15, at the San Mames as Athletic Bilbao faces Getafe. The opening weekend fixtures conclude on Monday, August 19, with Atletico Madrid taking on Villarreal. Real Madrid still have several pre-season games to play before the season starts, and Mbappe is expected to play in them. In early August, they will begin a tour of the United States and play against AC Milan at Soldier Field in Chicago on the first day of the month. Three days later, FC Barcelona will play at New York's MetLife Stadium, followed by a game at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina for Chelsea, concluding the series of matches.

2. What's next for Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid FC?

Despite winning six Ligue 1 titles and four Coupe de France, making 308 appearances and scoring 256 goals, he and PSG never managed to win the UEFA Champions League trophy. However, in Real's new crisp white shirt, inspired by the support of his compatriot and club icon Zinedine Zidane, this must be a realistic dream for Mbappe. Talking about the latest Football news, Kylian Mbappe will take the number nine, which Karim Benzema left vacant in 2023/2024 after his departure to the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.

Mbappe aims to emulate Benzema and join the legendary club, as many icons have worn the revered number 9 jersey. These include Ronaldo Nazario, Ivan Zamorano, Davor Suker, Fernando Morientes, and even Cristiano Ronaldo, which is similar to his debut season in 2009-10 before making way for Benzema. Kylian Mbappe paid tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo at his Real Madrid presentation. He purposefully emulated Ronaldo's iconic "uno, dos, tres, Hala Madrid!" greeting to the supporters, reminiscent of Ronaldo's historic introduction 15 years back.
