Real Madrid have qualified for the final of the Spanish Super Cup with a stunning 3-0 win over Mallorca. The win has set up the much-awaited El-Clasico in the final with Madrid facing their arch-rivals Barcelona on January 13 and that has got the fans extremely excited. Carlo Ancelotti’s men were dominant in the game right through during the Mallorca clash. They created multiple opportunities to score a goal with Jude Bellingham and Aurelien Tchouameni dominating the proceedings. However, some brilliance from goalkeeper Dominik Greif kept them at bay even as the first half went goalless.

The breakthrough finally came in the 63rd minute for Real Madrid when English star Jude Bellingham found the net. This started a relentless attack from them and Mallorca finally gave in as they struggled to find a response. There was an own goal in the closing stages of the game while Rodrygo made it 3-0 with a goal in the last minute of injury stoppage time.

Real Madrid completely dominated the proceedings with 65% ball possession and 11 shots on target. They also completed 544 passes in the encounter compared to 283 of Mallorca. This authoritative win must have also given them a lot of confidence ahead of the summit clash against Barcelona.

Real Madrid will face Barcelona on January 13

Real Madrid and Barcelona will now lock horns in the final of the Spanish Super Cup on January 13 at 12:30 AM IST. Barcelona defeated Athletic Club 2-0 in their semifinal clash played yesterday. The two teams are the most successful clubs in the history of the Spanish Super Cup.

Real Madrid are the defending champions and have won the tournament 13 times. On the other hand, Barcelona have lifted the Spanish Super Cup trophy a staggering 14 times. Madrid have a chance to come on level terms with their arch-rivals in this aspect.
