Real Madrid takes a dig at Arsenal prior to the second leg of the Champions League fixture
After the first leg of the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid have fallen behind three goals owing to the two outrageous freekicks of Declan Rice and Merino’s top finish. While Arsenal is a clear favorite to win the tie, Real Madrid took a dig at their opposition with an X post that said about the 90 minutes being the longest.

Prior to the game, the likes of Lucas Vazquez and Jude Bellingham also sounded confident to get the job done at Santiago Bernabeu against Arsenal. The fans also posted online about the ability to turn the game around in 90 minutes.
What happened in the second leg of the Champions League fixture between Real Madrid and Arsenal?
In the second leg, Real Madrid started on a bright note with Kylian Mbappe scoring the offside goal in the early minutes to scare the Emirates-based outfit. On the other hand, Arsenal kept attacking on the break, pushing the Los Blancos back. Amidst these, Real Madrid had also conceded the penalty but Courtois saved it. While everyone thought Real Madrid would score in the first half, it remained 0-0.
The Spanish outfit upped their ante in the second half but Arsenal shored up their defense. In the 65th minute, Saka piled upon Madrid’s misery by widening the gap to four goals. However, Vinicius scored the goal in the 67th minute, they could not find the next three to push the game into extra time. Gabriel scored in the dying embers of the game to win the tie 5-1.
