Manchester United registered a draw against their arch-rivals Arsenal in the 28th gameweek of the English Premier League 2024/25. While celebrating a draw may not align with Manchester United's usual standards, given the season they are having, it is considered a successful result for the club and Ruben Amorim. After the game, Amorim remained upbeat and took the opportunity to appreciate Ayden Heaven for his contribution in the second half.

Regarding the new signing at Old Trafford, Ayden Heaven, Ruben Amorim praised the player’s attributes. He applauded Heaven's calmness and relaxed attitude in pressure situations. The Portuguese manager also mentioned that he may have found the real player. Amorim said:

Ayden Heaven is so calm, so relaxed, he doesn't feel the pressure. I believe we have found a REAL player

Ayden Heaven came on for Lenny Yoro, who injured his foot in the first half. During the game, Yoro used the pill and sprays to reduce the pain but was hobbling towards the end of the half. Without risking the player, Ruben Amorim decided to bring on his new signing. Speaking about the injury, Amorim expressed doubts about Yoro's availability for the Europa League game on Thursday. He said:

Leny has something in his foot. We will see if he is available for Thursday.

Ruben Amorim appreciated his captain, Bruno Fernandes after the player put in a massive shift in midfield. Bruno has faced criticism from many former Manchester United players but has consistently proven them wrong. Speaking about Fernandes, Amorim highlighted his desire to win, noting that this attitude has kept the team going. He applauded

He (Fernandes) proves it every game. He's here to help the club, that's the most important thing. Sometimes, he has moments when he's so frustrated that he shows that. He wants to win more than anything. He's always there

What next for Manchester United?

Manchester United are all set to play Real Sociedad in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 at Old Trafford. After a grueling draw in the previous leg at Anoeta, the Red Devils will look to turn around their fortunes and advance in the competition.
