As the transfer season progresses Manchester United move along with their negotiations in pursuit of making some valuable additions to their team. Man Utd’s boss Erik ten Hag has a lot of ideas regarding their plans to acquire players that would rightly fit in the team. According to some sources, Man Utd is considering a swap deal with Inter Milan that would require Aaron Wan-Bissaka to move to Italy and Denzel Dumfries to Old Trafford. According to rumors, Wan-Bissaka has rejected West Ham and is more interested in joining Inter Milan this summer or becoming a free agent when his current deal ends in June 2025. Moreover, reports say that this has prompted intermediaries to propose a plan that would see the 26-year-old move to Inter and Dumfries move in the other direction. However, as things stand, the transition is not imminent.
Jarrad Branthwaite will probably turn down a new contract offer from Everton after considering Manchester United's offers. The highly-regarded defender, 22, has drawn two approaches from United this summer, but Everton is keen to keep him in the team and wants to extend an offer to him. However, a recent report has revealed that Branthwaite will not agree to such a deal unless the Toffees are prepared to match the £160,000-per-week salary that was being offered at Old Trafford.
According to reports, Manchester United is apparently considering Antonio Silva of Benfica as a less expensive option to Jarrad Branthwaite. The Red Devils look eager to add further depth to their backline this summer, even though they have already bolstered their defense with the arrival of Leny Yoro.
Silva has reportedly become a realistic option for United given the challenges in landing agreements for Branthwaite and De Ligt, according to sources. The 20-year-old had previously been connected to a move to Old Trafford, with interest being shown during the previous summer transfer window. Benfica has acknowledged the difficulty in getting the entire £84 million for the center-back, but they would be 'ready' to let Silva go if an offer above £42 million was made. This is apparently why United is confident about negotiating a more reasonable deal, despite Silva's big £84 million release clause.
