"We have to be satisfied"- Carlo Ancelotti

"We have to be satisfied"- Carlo Ancelotti On UCL Draw Against Manchester City

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti says that his side Real Madrid can’t do anything but be satisfied with their draw against Manchester City in the 1st leg of their UCL quarter-final on Tuesday. The match between Manchester City and Real Madrid concluded with a 3-3 draw, with the match involving some Puskas award level goals coming from both the sides.

However, the major shock that football fans felt was that star striker Erling Haaland did not find the back of the net throughout the match.  Although Haaland did not find the scoresheet, some say that he did his job of making spaces for other City forwards to score goals, keeping the opposition’s defence close to him throughout the match.

Nonetheless, Haaland has been at the receiving end of a lot of criticism lately, with the most recent attack coming from the mouth of former Manchester United captain and legend Roy Keane who described the player as a “League Two player”.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti was not entirely pleased with his side’s performance against Pep Guardiola’s men, however, he feels that Real Madrid will certainly give their best to try and turn things around in the second leg. Real Madrid will travel to Manchester for the 2nd leg. Los Blancos have never won a match at the Etihad Stadium, and Ancelotti and co will need to have a plan to pierce through Man City’s defence next week.

Carlo Ancelotti spoke about the match between Real Madrid and Man City in a post-match conference. Here's what the Italian coach had to say:

"What I wanted was to take a small advantage, but we have to be satisfied. We have competed and if we do so also in the second leg we can go through."

Real Madrid and Man City meet again next week, but before that, they also have their domestic matches to play first. Los Blancos will take on Mallorca, while Man City will host Luton. The Champions League quarter-finals have surely been really exciting so far, with Arsenal drawing against Bayern Munich (2-2), Atletico Madrid winning against Dortmund (2-1), and FC Barcelona defeating PSG (3-2).
