Liverpool secured a convincing 2-0 victory against Manchester City at the Etihad, marking their first-ever Premier League win there since Pep Guardiola took charge. Arne Slot’s team was clinical in front of goal, with Mohamed Salah extending his tally to 25 goals for the Premier League season. The Egyptian King is now the highest scorer in the ongoing rivalry, and he has expressed the need for the team to win another title to reflect their growth and progress in recent years.

Speaking about the game, Salah acknowledged that winning at the Etihad is always a tough challenge. However, he praised his teammates for their collective effort in securing the victory. He described the team as special and emphasized how incredible it is to have such a side in the title race. Salah also urged his team to remain calm and focused as pressure begins to mount, insisting that they must not let it get to them.

We need another title. Me and the big guys in the team, we need another title. It is incredible. It is a very hard place to come and play here. They are a tough team and they have an incredible manager, I am glad in the end we won the game. It is special. Especially when you are in the title race, it is incredible. Hopefully we keep calm because sometimes the pressure gets to us. We try to win each game

Gary Neville indirectly congratulates Liverpool for winning the title

With the win against Manchester City, Liverpool are now 11 points clear of Arsenal, and it seems the Merseysiders are on track to claim their second league title in the last six seasons. Commenting on the victory, Gary Neville, the former Manchester United player, indirectly congratulated Liverpool for their likely title success. While he acknowledged that the title isn't secured just yet, he praised the way Liverpool clinched the win at the Etihad, describing it as comprehensive and a performance that looked like that of worthy title winners. He said:

They haven't won it obviously, but they have, yeah. In years gone by, I've got involved in debates with other people, that Arsenal didn't need to come here and win. You do. You do have to come here and win, and I think I always felt that, maybe it didn't always happen when I played. But to really make a statement when you're trying to take a title off someone, when you're trying to really ram it home that you are worthy title winners, you need to go and do something different
