Portugal internationals Bernardo Silva and Bruno Fernandes tried to guess what their teammate and captain Cristiano Ronaldo would’ve become if not a footballer. Silva believes Ronaldo would’ve been a nutritionist while Fernandes reckoned the Portuguese player would’ve either become a paddle player, nutritionist or mental coach.
The much famous trio ply their trade for Portugal at the international level and have done extremely well. It is no secret that Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably Portugal's greatest player in history. He has scored 133 goals in 216 appearances for his country, the most for Portugal. He was also honoured with the Platinum Quinas Trophy, the highest individual accolade in the country, by the Portuguese Football Federation.
Coming back to Silva and Fernandes, the duo was asked the question above in the recent video on Cristiano Ronaldo’s YouTube channel - UR Cristiano. Silva was the first to answer as he guessed that his captain would’ve become a nutritionist pointing out that Ronaldo is very much aware of what he eats.
“Maybe a nutritionist, like nutrition. He loves these kind of things. He’s always talking about these kind of things that you have to eat to perform better. How you feel, your health. So, I would say maybe that, yeah,” he said.
Bruno Fernandes backed Ronaldo to become a paddle player or mental coach if not a nutritionist.
“At the moment, I would say paddle player because I think he’s really into that. So, he could be a paddle player. If not, a nutritionist or a mental coach,” the Manchester United talisman suggested.
How is Ronaldo’s form this season?
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is in action in the Saudi Pro League for his team Al-Nassr. Like every season, he is in great form yet again scoring six goals in nine appearances to go with two assists. He has also found the net twice in three AFC Champions League matches for the club.
Ronaldo’s contract with the club is set to expire next summer and it is yet to be renewed. However, going by his performance, Al-Nassr might not give it a second thought. The legendary footballer will be in action for the club next on November 22 in the Saudi Pro League against Al-Qadisiyah.
