Arsenal’s injury troubles seem never-ending, and the club has been hit with yet another setback ahead of the final part of the season. From lacking Saka to score goals, Arsenal are now without a player who would put his body on the line to stop them. The Gunners will be without Gabriel for the rest of the season as they enter this crucial phase. When asked about who would replace the player, Arteta suggested that he would use some players returning from injury to fill the void.

Talking to the media, Mikel Arteta mentioned that there are multiple options on the table, but he also highlighted how far he would need to go. However, he emphasized that he has deeper options available. He said:

Well, there are a few [options] on the table,

How far we have to go down that route, hopefully not that deep but there are options, obviously

Ben White and Jurrien Timber are returning to action for the club after Bukayo Saka made his return earlier in the week. He also mentioned that Declan Rice is not yet fit, despite being a player who could have slotted into the defense if needed. Arteta highlighted the importance of continuing to play and compete ahead of the upcoming Premier League fixtures. He said:

Ric is not fit as well because in the last week or so we lost four players, and that's obviously a big task but let's see how Ben and Jurrien are tomorrow as well and that's it, Keep playing and keep competing the way we have been

What is Mikel Arteta proud about the side he is managing?

Over the last half-decade, Mikel Arteta has experienced many ups and downs with the club where he once played. From finishing outside the top six, Arsenal have gone on to finish second twice and may end up there again. Speaking to the media, Arteta mentioned that he is proud of the team for how they have responded to injuries with high intensity. He said:

The team reacted like it has reacted all season. So really proud of that, and we know that he's going to be out for a while so we need to find different solutions and keep competing the way we have been all season
