Why Gavi is not part of the Spain national team? Luis de la Fuente answers the glaring question

Spain’s coach, Luis de la Fuente, has named his best 28 players for the international campaign, but one notable omission is Barcelona's Gavi.
Addressing Gavi’s exclusion, Luis de la Fuente explained that multiple players missed the final squad. He highlighted that this reflects the high level of competition in Spanish football, where making the cut is difficult. De la Fuente empathized with those players who were left out and said:

Talking to the media, the Spanish head coach mentioned that they have formed a "super national team," and this is the best squad he could put together. With the Spanish national team being the reigning European and Nations League champions, Luis de la Fuente acknowledged that selecting this squad was not an easy task. He said:
We have formed a super national team and this is the best list that can be made right now in my opinion. We are the reigning European and Nations League champions, and making this squad is not easy

Real Madrid’s central defender, Raul Asencio, is the new inclusion in the Spanish squad for the upcoming Nations League fixture against the Netherlands.
