Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has responded when asked if star player Marcus Rashford will be reintegrated into the squad if he doesn’t exit the club in January. Notably, the 27-year-old has been frozen out of the Red Devils’ squad since December 12, when he last took the field for the club.
Even Rashford has not kept it a secret, openly admitting that he is looking for a new challenge elsewhere. Moreover, even the club is looking to sell the player and with Rashford being an academy graduate, selling him would result in pure profit for the club.
Several times it has been reported that Rashford might move to another European giant. There have been interests reportedly from clubs like Barcelona, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund. But there have been no updates on his exit. For the same reason, many are raising questions if Manchester United will include him in the squad again if his exit plans fail in the January transfer window.
“I don’t know. I really don’t know. Guys, it’s eight days. We’ll see what happens at the end of the transfer window and we’ll talk about that at that moment,” Ruben Amorim said (via GOAL).
Marcus Rashford has missed 10 games under Ruben Amorim
Marcus Rashford has endured a tough season with the Red Devils this time around. He has scored just seven goals and provided three assists in 24 matches across competitions. He has missed out on 10 games so far ever since Amorim has taken over the control and it seems unlikely to change until he leaves the club.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are having a tough time in the ongoing Premier League season. They are currently in 13th place after 22 matches, having won seven, drawn five, and lost 10 outings so far this season. For the unversed, the last four placed teams in the standings are relegated, which means, the Red Devils will have to make sure they don’t drop below 16th place. For that to happen, the United will have to up the ante and climb the table as soon as possible.
