Lance Stroll: The Shining star of the F1 World

Born on October 29, 1998, Lance Stroll is a Canadian racing driver currently competing in Formula 1 for the Aston Martin team. His journey to the pinnacle of motorsport has been closely tracked, with notable achievements. Stroll got his start in racing at the age of ten in karting, where he achieved significant success in various regional and national championships. His talent was quickly recognised, leading to his inclusion in the Ferrari Driver Academy in 2010. Moving up in the junior single-seater categories, Stroll demonstrated his potential by winning the Italian Formula 4 Championship in 2014 and the Toyota Racing Series in 2015. An impressive season in the 2016 FIA Formula 3 European Championship saw him win the title with 14 wins. This victory paved the way for his Formula 1 debut.  

Formula 1 debut and early years

Stroll entered Formula 1 with Williams in 2017, becoming one of the youngest drivers on the grid. His rookie season included a podium finish at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, becoming the youngest rookie to achieve this feat at the time. He also achieved a front-row start at the Italian Grand Prix, the youngest driver to do so in wet conditions. After two seasons with Williams, Stroll moved to Racing Point in 2019, a team acquired by a consortium led by his father, Lawrence Stroll.

The era of Aston Martin 

The Racing Point team evolved into Aston Martin in 2021, with Lance Stroll continuing as one of their drivers. To date, Stroll has accumulated three podium finishes in Formula 1, the other two being at the 2020 Italian Grand Prix and the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix.  His best championship finish came in 2023, where he finished 10th in the drivers' standings. In the current 2025 season, after five races, he currently sits 10th.
