A lot is happening in the upper half of the points table standings in the Pro Kabaddi League even as we are coming closer to the business end of the tournament. UP Yoddhas have jumped to the third spot in the Pro Kabaddi League 2024 standings after beating U Mumba (30-27) in a close encounter on Sunday. The Yoddhas have now 10 wins from 19 games, accumulating a total of 64 points. Also, U Mumba descended one spot to occupy fifth position with 61 points.
Haryana Steelers, meanwhile, are firmly in command at the top of the table with 78 points from 20 games. Dabang Delhi trail closely behind in second place with 66 points from 19 matches. Patna Pirates occupy fourth spot, having racked up 63 points from 18 games, thus far. Telugu Titans sit at fourth with 11 win in 20 matches. The Titans have accumulated 60 points and ought to dish out strong performances ahead in a bid to cement their spot in the playoffs.
Meanwhile, in the second game on Sunday, Jaipur Pink Panthers beat Tamil Thalaiavas 34-27. And, with that win, the Panthers moved to seventh spot with 59 points, while Puneri Paltan moved down to eighth with 54 points. Tamil Thalaivas suffered their third consecutive losses and the campaign look all but over for them. Thalaivas are placed at the eighth spot with just 40 points. The bottom three spots are occupied by the likes of Bengal Warriorz (40), Gujarat Giants (35), and Bengaluru Bulls (19), respectively.
Pro Kabaddi League 2024-25: Upcoming Fixtures
Dabang Delhi will look to strengthen their case for at least a top-two position when they meet Bengal Warriorz in the 115th match of the Pro Kabaddi League on Monday. Delhi are enjoying a dream run this season and they would be looking to continue that momentum. On the other hand, Bengal Warriorz have had a forgettable season but can still pose a threat to Delhi, given the kind of star power they have in the side.
Later in the day, Puneri Paltan will host Patna Pirates in match number 116 of the Pro Kabaddi League. Both teams are desperate for a win and, hence, one can expect this to be a cracker of a contest.
