Neeraj Chopra missed the meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Independence Day as he flew to Germany after the Paris Olympics 2024 rather than returning to India. As per the javelin throw star's family source, Neeraj Chopra is unlikely to return to India for the next 2 months as he will be participating in athletics tournaments. On the flip side, with his second successive Olympic medal, including a historic gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Neeraj Chopra became the 4th athlete from independent India after Sushil Kumar, PV Sindhu and Manu Bhaker to clinch two medals at the Summer Olympics.
