Paris Olympics 2024, Day 7: Check Out India Schedule On August 2

August started on a bitter note for the Indian contingent at the Paris Olympics. Ace shuttler duo Satwik-Chirag were knocked out of the men’s doubles quarter-finals. Later in the day, PV Sindhu also lost her pre-quarterfinal match in the women’s singles event against the Chinese player, He Bing Jiao. The men’s hockey team faced a 2-1 defeat against Belgium in the Pool B match. However, giving a silver lining to India’s campaign on Thursday, Swapnil Kusale bagged a bronze medal in the 50m 3P Rifle shooting event. Now, India has accumulated 3 medals at the Paris Olympics, all bronze, all in shooting.

Day 7 Schedule For India At 2024 Paris Olympics

Lakshya Sen, the only Indian shuttler remaining in the badminton event, will play the quarter-finals of the men’s singles tournament on August 2nd. Also in action will be newly crowned India’s shooting star, Manu Bhaker. Bhaker has won two bronze medals in the individual and mixed 10m air pistol shooting events. Now, the shooter will take on the 25m Pistol qualifications along with Esha Singh. Moreover, the Indian men’s team will take on another formidable opponent, Australia, on Friday.
